The start of the weekend

Friday night after we all got off work we had a cookout at my sisters and did some fishing, that is my second favorite thing to do next to crochet. Here was the first fish of the evening I caught, a large mouth Bass but not a keeper we threw him back.
And heres a picture of some of the food we ate.. Thats me in the middle along with my sis on the left and mom on the right..
After that my Husband and I came home and cleaned fish we caught 8 crappies and 3 channel cats between all of us fishing so we got them all to clean.. well he cleaned them while I watched LOL.
I didn't have much time to crochet lastnight but I plan on doing some tonight and maybe I can come up with a pattern or 2 to share with everyone that would like to read my blog.
Have a Good Evening!

Crochet and more

This is my first post about Crochet and other intrests I have in life... I started crocheting at a young age, My mother taught me the chain stitch then I just started practicing after that. I could not read a pattern so I would look at pictures and go to craft fairs and get Ideas.... Then later I started trying to read patterns it was hard at first I was so frustarted but I kept trying. This was before the self help books or internet. (Oh how I could have used them back then) Since then I have had patterns published in magazines and am trying to get my etsy shop up and going.

Here is a little wrist purse I made recently using bracelets and size 10 crochet thread. It is the perfect size to hold keys, credit/debit card, or cell phone.

Here is a sunflower pincushion with worsted weight yarn.

I love to make little things that are useful but I love to make doilies for tables or special ones to frame.
These are just a few examples of the things I make I will be posting alot more in time to come.
I hope everyone will enjoy this blog and please post any comments or questions you may have.
